Cape Town
Where Two Oceans Meet
By S. Pedrag
Plenty of sun and long, scenic beaches with palm trees... a melting pot of races, cultures and scrumptious cuisine... a relaxed, cosmopolitan atmosphere…the place where two oceans meet at the base of the 3,500 foot-high Table Mountain... Yes, you're right - this is Cape Town!

Out in Africa: The Joys of Jo Burg
By Darren Frei
In South Africa’s heart there exists an optimistic spirit still struggling to fully emerge from the hangover of apartheid. This is a country of extremes, of people coming to terms with the demons of their past while simultaneously living in the joy of the present moment. Breathtaking scenery, impeccable hospitality, and a dizzyingly favorable exchange rate make it an impossible destination to pass up.

When in... Cape Town
By Justin Ocean, OutTraveler.com
Having stepped out of its apartheid closet into the constitutionally protected light of day a mere 14 years ago, gay life in Cape Town is booming. And like many teenagers, it’s bold, bawdy, conflicted, and in a constant state of reinvention. Stunning physical beauty abuts gritty urbanism, a contrast that makes the city both laid-back and neurotic. Think SoCal in South Africa.

Travel Odds & Ends
Weird, strange and simply bizarre travel tidbits
By Duane Wells
Stella ain't got nothing on the tons of British white women getting their bareback groove on with young African men in Kenya, a bear celebrates a special birthday in Berlin, the cities of Orlando and Coral Gables argue over which is the fairest in the land and graveside tea service is a popular attraction in India. Talk about odd!

East Africa Is Still the Preferred Safari Destination
By Duane Wells
Safari lovers continue to roar about East Africa, according to a recent poll. One of the memorable tourist attractions that occur between Kenya and Tanzania is the annual wildebeest migration. On November 17th, 2006, the migration was declared as one of the seven New Wonders of The World by a panel of wildlife experts and broadcast on Good Morning America's Weekend Edition.

Gay Egypt
By Richard Ammon
From the start, writing about the 'gay scene' in Egypt did not look promising: "I am quite sure you will have difficulty trying uncover much at all,” said a friend of a friend who lived in Egypt for three years. Daunting as his advice was, his message was no surprise to me.

Naked Canaries
Spain's Islands in the Sun
By Ernie Alderete
Gay life on the Canaries is as sophisticated, if not more so than in mainland Spain. Nude and gay beaches, such as Los Patos and Las Teresitas, can be found on all the islands. And people-watching is supreme since the average age of the population in the Canaries is the youngest in Spain, and in the European Community.

Out in Africa: The Joys of Jo Burg
By Darren Frei
Think remote—even obscure. Far removed from war and terrorism, South Africa is emerging as one of the more popular overseas destinations, especially among gay and lesbian travelers. South Africa’s constitution, ratified in 1995, bans discrimination based on sexual orientation, making it one of the most liberal constitutions in the world.

Cape Town
By Ernie Alderete
At first I thought local gays, or “moffies” as they call themselves, were pulling my leg when they called their city La La Land! But I soon learned they weren’t even aware that gays call Los Angeles the same thing. In both cases La La Land is that place just over the rainbow, where the muscular, the sun tanned and beautiful frolic in the surf and sun.
